While in Italy on a painting trip with fellow artists we walked through the town of Perugia. This doorway was especially fascinating to me with the years of wear showing through the bricks. The cat is waiting for his owner to let her in, much like we wait for what is to come next in life.
In my previous life I was a secretary for a local company and thoroughly enjoyed my role. However, art always called my name and I did not know if I would every have the very special opportunity to retire and devote my free time to doing what I love. I am fortunate to be retired and painting up a storm. I adore vibrant colors and trying to find my own unique style which is depicted in Prancing Poppies.
