This piece is joint compound applied over a board. I use doilies, stamps, armatures, old juicers, caps, garage items to imprint the design. When dry, I sand and seal then apply yellow paint and wipe off what I do not want. After sealing, I apply reds and oranges and again wipe off what is not needed for the composition. Then, the same process with blues and greens and finally browns and blacks. Very fun project!
In my previous life I was a secretary for a local company and thoroughly enjoyed my role. However, art always called my name and I did not know if I would every have the very special opportunity to retire and devote my free time to doing what I love.
